Kwadaso Assembly Speaks in One Voice: Frimpong Secures 100% Vote to Retain PM Seat

The Assembly Members of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly have demonstrated remarkable unity and political maturity by unanimously re-electing Hon. Ernest Frimpong as Presiding Member (PM) for a historic second term.

The election, held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Assembly’s premises, was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere, reflecting the stability that has characterized the House in recent years.

All 23 Assembly Members present voted in favour of Hon. Frimpong’s continued leadership, giving him a resounding 100 percent endorsement. The decisive outcome underscores the deep trust, confidence, and satisfaction members have in his administration and performance during his first term.

Hon. Frimpong, who doubles as a professional classroom teacher, expressed profound gratitude to his colleagues for what he described as a vote for “continuity, stability, and progress.”

“Your votes were not cast for an individual alone,” he stated in his acceptance speech.

“They were cast for consistency, strength in leadership, and a proven record of service. This renewed mandate sends a clear message,Kwadaso chooses progress over uncertainty, unity over division, and action over empty rhetoric.”
Addressing the Assembly, he emphasized that leadership is not about occupying a position but about delivering tangible results to the people.

During his previous tenure, he noted, the Assembly strengthened its oversight responsibilities, promoted discipline in deliberations, and ensured that development projects progressed without unnecessary delay.

“Today, you have decided that the work must continue,” he declared firmly.

Hon. Frimpong further assured members and constituents that the Assembly under his leadership would not become a platform for political gamesmanship or obstruction.

“This House will remain a chamber of seriousness, accountability, and bold decision-making. We owe that to our people,” he stressed.

He reminded members that the electorate- including the youth, traders, farmers, artisans, and public servants across Kwadaso,are closely monitoring their performance and expect improved roads, quality education, better sanitation, job opportunities, enhanced security, and sustainable economic growth.


On their part, the Assembly Members pledged their full support and cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of his vision and agenda for the municipality during his second term in office. They reaffirmed their commitment to work in unity to accelerate development and deliver meaningful results to the people of Kwadaso.

Declaring the results,the municipal Electoral commissioner for Kwadaso,Madam Tamah Annan, officially announced Hon Ernest Frimpong,Assembly Member for Kwadaso Proper Electoral area,as the duly elected Presiding Member of the Assembly.

With this unanimous endorsement, the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has sent a strong signal of stability, solidarity, and collective resolve to advance the development of the municipality.
