TANO NORTH MP PRESENTS 84 COCOA SPRAYING MACHINES TO FARMERS
Dr. Gideon Boako urges fair, non-partisan distribution as cocoa farmers receive equipment to boost production

The Member of Parliament for the Tano North Constituency, Dr. Gideon Boako, has presented 84 cocoa spraying machines to cocoa farmer groups across the constituency as part of efforts to support farmers in the fight against cocoa diseases and improve productivity.
The machines were handed over to beneficiary cooperative societies to strengthen their capacity to undertake timely and effective spraying operations on their farms.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Dr. Boako called on the leadership of the beneficiary groups to ensure that the machines are distributed and used fairly, without political considerations.
He stressed that the equipment was meant to benefit cocoa farmers regardless of their political affiliation, emphasising that he considers himself a father to all constituents.
Dr. Boako therefore urged the leaders of the beneficiary groups not to allow partisan politics to influence access to or the management of the machines.
“I consider myself a father to all my constituents, so these machines must be used fairly and for the benefit of all farmers,” he said.
The MP further appealed to the beneficiaries to use the machines strictly for their intended purpose and ensure regular maintenance to prolong their lifespan.
He also encouraged farmers to use only approved cocoa chemicals in controlling diseases, warning against the indiscriminate use of chemicals that could undermine cocoa production and affect the health of their farms.
According to Dr. Boako, the ultimate objective of the intervention is to increase cocoa production, improve farm productivity and contribute to better livelihoods for cocoa farmers in the constituency.
COCOA OFFICER CAUTIONS FARMERS
Meanwhile, the Tano North Municipal Cocoa Officer, Albert Kwame Asumang, has urged beneficiary farmers to use only authorised and approved cocoa chemicals recommended by the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
He cautioned farmers against the use of unapproved chemicals,noting that such practices could negatively affect cocoa production and the long-term health of their farms.
Mr. Asumang encouraged the farmers to strictly follow professional guidelines on cocoa disease control to ensure that the intervention achieves its intended results.
FARMERS EXPRESS APPRECIATION
Some of the beneficiary cocoa farmers expressed appreciation to Dr. Gideon Boako for the gesture, describing the machines as a timely intervention that would make their farming activities more efficient.
Queen of Dua Yaw Nkwanta,Nana Serwaa Nyarko on her part encourage hon member of Parliament for Tano north hon Gideon Boako to continue his charity work and the heaven will bless him to accomplish all the desire goals.
They said the equipment would enhance their ability to undertake effective spraying, help control cocoa diseases and ultimately contribute to increased cocoa production.
The beneficiaries pledged to take proper care of the machines and ensure that they are used strictly for their intended purpose for the benefit of cocoa farmers in the constituency.
