CEASE IMPORTATION AND DEPORT ALL ESCAVATORS TO END GALAMSEY WITHIN ONE MONTH – REV. JOSEPH AMPONSAH.

Rev Joseph Amponsah, CEO of Jeomat Company Limited in the Suame Municipal Assembly of Ashanti Region has called on government to band importation of escavators and other Galamsey equipments which are imported into the country and also export the ones at the sale points in the country to end Galamsey fight within a month.

Speaking with Oyerepa FM/TV news reporter Nana Yaw Peprah, he explained that, the equipment are mostly dealed by the Chinese and by preventing the importation and exporting back the ones in the country will reduce the access to the machine for the destruction of our lands and water bodies.

He appeal to the government to address the nation by ensuring strict rules against those manufacturing the local equipments to support the Galamsey operations and all stakeholders who support it.

He mentioned also that, since the mining supports the country’s economy, the local people who are interested in doing it must be trained to be come professional like how Anglo Gold is working through the support of the government and that will not affect the environment as Galamsey is causing us.

He humbly appealed to the government consider his suggestion if only the country mean to end Galamsey.

Call Rev. Joseph Amponsah for more details on 0242265539.
