The simmering feud between Wontumi Radio and TV boss, Chairman Wontumi, and journalist Ebenezer has burst open again with explosive allegations.

Chairman Wontumi, who employed Ebenezer at Wontumi FM back in 2020, has branded him a “vindictive and controlling” figure, claiming he and his crew deliberately sabotaged the station. According to him, Ebenezer is less concerned with journalism and more obsessed with the influence and status that comes with being a celebrity.

“Ebenezer is a loyalist, yes but his loyalty is to fame, not journalism. He craves the power of being seen and celebrated rather than delivering true journalism,” Wontumi charged.

Often referred to as the “Headquarters of Foreign News,” Ebenezer now works with another radio station. But his current style has attracted heavy criticism, with listeners complaining about his one way presentation-dominated by endless stories on Lamine Yamal and FC Barcelona.

Chairman Wontumi further disclosed that a former station had warned him against hiring Ebenezer even before he joined Wontumi FM, advice he admits he regrets ignoring.

With these latest claims, the long-standing clash between Chairman Wontumi and Ebenezer has been reignited, drawing fresh attention to their bitter media rivalry.
