In a strong show of commitment to digital safety and service excellence, MTN Ghana has empowered staff within its Northern Business District with intensive cybersecurity and capacity-building training at the company’s Kaase Cell Site in Kumasi.
The session, held as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, brought together engineers, field officers, and customer service teams for hands-on learning in network operations, data protection, and cyber hygiene all geared towards enhancing customer trust and operational efficiency.
Madam Jacqueline Hanson Kotei, Senior Manager for Enterprise Information Security and Governance at MTN Ghana, led the sensitization session, reaffirming MTN’s strong stance on protecting its people and customers against the rising tide of cybercrime.
As digital adoption deepens, protecting individuals, businesses, and especially children from online scams and fraud is more critical than ever. At MTN, we are dedicated to securing our digital future,” she stressed.
Under the theme “Securing Our Digital Future,” participants explored emerging cyber threats, shared best practices on safe digital behavior, and discussed strategies to fortify MTN’s digital ecosystem against online risks.
The training also focused on network optimization, corporate compliance, and safety protocols, ensuring employees continue to deliver the reliable and high-quality service MTN is known for.
A representative from the Northern Business District emphasized that the initiative aligns with MTN’s broader agenda of building a skilled, forward-thinking workforce that can adapt to rapid technological change.
“Our people remain our greatest strength. Regular capacity-building sessions like this ensure we stay ahead in innovation and service delivery,” the official remarked.
Participants described the exercise as eye-opening and timely, praising MTN for continually investing in their growth and wellbeing. The event ended with a renewed pledge from staff to uphold MTN’s brand promise “Everywhere You Go” while championing cybersecurity awareness within their communities.
With this initiative, MTN Ghana reinforces its position as a digital leader, setting the pace in both network reliability and cyber safety advocacy across the country.
