Alidu Seidu and Bernard Bediako officially join Parliament after swearing-in ceremony in Accra

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has presented copies of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana to the newly sworn-in Members of Parliament, Hon. Alidu Seidu and Hon. Bernard Bediako.

Speaking after administering the oath of office, Speaker Bagbin described Parliament as a “new school” where every member, regardless of experience, must continuously learn and grow in service to the nation.

He reminded the two legislators that understanding and upholding the Constitution is the foundation of effective parliamentary work and responsible leadership.

Hon. Alidu Seidu and Hon. Bernard Bediako took their oaths before the House following their recent victories in parliamentary by-elections. Their induction brings renewed energy to the legislative chamber as the nation gears up for crucial national discussions ahead of the 2025 session.
