The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Hon. Sadick Abubakar, affectionately called “Power”, has called on Ghanaians, especially residents and supporters within his constituency, to maintain confidence in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama, as the party works to “reset Ghana” for national progress.

Speaking at the official launch of the women’s group, Original Powerful Ladies, at Mankranso on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Hon. Abubakar assured the gathering that the NDC is poised to fulfill all its campaign promises and deliver quality governance that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

He noted that the party has put in place several precautionary plans and strategic measures aimed at driving Ghana toward sustainable growth.

We have prepared comprehensive policies to fix the economy, improve healthcare delivery, strengthen education, and tackle the major challenges confronting Ghanaians, especially the youth,” he said.

Hon. Abubakar commended the leadership of the Original Powerful Ladies group for their initiative and urged them to remain dedicated to the party’s cause as the NDC seeks to return to power.

The chairperson of the group, Shilla Adoma Agyemang, explained that their main objective is to promote and propagate the message and vision of John Dramani Mahama, Hon. Abubakar Sadick, and the NDC across the Ahafo Ano South West area and beyond.

“Our focus is to spread the good message of the NDC and encourage more women and youth to join in rebuilding Ghana,” she said.

On his part, the patron of the group, Mr. Thina Agyekun, popularly known as TK, pledged his support for the women’s initiative, emphasizing the significant role women play in political mobilization.

“Women have great influence in politics. They can make or unmake political fortunes, so empowering them is crucial to our success,” he added.

The event attracted several NDC executives, party faithful, and community members who expressed renewed enthusiasm for the party’s agenda ahead of the 2024 general elections.
