Aggrieved Kromoase Residents Threatenes Massive Demo Against Authorities For Selling School Land:
One of the common question that many Ghanaians are asking is,Why only schools lands in Ashanti region are gradually turning into stores all over?
Aggrieved residents of Kromoase have Bear teeth warning authorities to refrain from turning schools lands into stores.
Credible information trickling this medium ,www.dailywatchgh.com from Kromoase in Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti region indicates that score of Aggrieved residents are not happy about the manner in which many schools in the town and for that matter others in the District have been turning into stores.
We want authorities to do away or refrain from turning schools lands into stores or business area before things excalate.
Based on the forgoing development, the residents have signaled a word of warning to the traditional authorities and the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly to step in to help stop the activities before unprecedented demonstration is carried out to protest against the unlawful operations that have been going on within the schools in the District.
According to the residents, they suspect the chief and queen mother, Abenagyaa Tiabutuo II, Hon Prince Karikari,the District Chief Executive and the entire Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly are having hands in allegedly selling the school lands to individuals to develop them into stores to disrupt school activities.
We have decided to stage on serious demonstration against them should they fail to come out with a tangible explanations of the project sited In front of Kromoase D/A School’s land, Kromoase Bedensua Abusuapanin Nana Yaw Ntim hinted.
Speaking on behalf of the residents in an exclusive interview with this website, www.dailywatchgh.com, Kromoase Bedensua Abusuapanin,Nana Yaw Ntim strongly warned those who have the intentions to rent any of the controversial stores to back out from their decisions or rent the stores at their own risk.
According to Nana Yaw Ntim the school belongs to community and the community also belongs to the school so they have every right to fight for the betterment of generations.
“We will not allow anybody to rent these stores untill the elders in the community are convinced with proper explanation from the above mentioned authorities.
Citing instances in an encounter with Practitioners,All the abundoned Projects such as,Place of convenience thus toilet facility for Kromoase D/A schools, Construction of Police Station commenced by one Nana Opoku Karikari Okogyedom,Kromoase Kotokuomhene to control criminalities,Market center were stoped by the powers of Chief and Queen mother of Kromoase.
According to Abusuapanin Nana Yaw Ntim,the entire community are fully prepared to resist any attempt should the above mentioned names fail to hear the cry of the residents.
He added, we are also humbly calling on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene as overlord for his immediate intervention to help solve the situation before things get out of hands.
In our investigation,we respectfully visited the Queen mother and chief of Atwima Kromoase for their side but they intentionally decided not to engage us until Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,Asantehene intervene.
According to the Queen mother of Atwima Kromoase, Nana Abena Gyaatiabutuo, “I am the wife of Asantehene and I don’t speak anyhow in public most especially the media Practitioners” She said.
