Alhaji Musa Osman Urges President Mahama to Tackle Economic Struggles, High Cost of Living, Unstable Dollar Rate, and Taxes”

In an important media interview today, Alhaji Musa Osman, Vice Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Finance Committee, urged President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize addressing the pressing economic challenges facing Ghana. Alhaji Musa highlighted the soaring cost of living, the unstable dollar rate, and the numerous taxes introduced by the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government as urgent issues requiring immediate attention. He also stressed the need for increased job opportunities for the youth, who are currently grappling with high unemployment levels.

“The high cost of everyday items, coupled with a rising dollar rate, has placed a heavy burden on Ghanaians. President Mahama must consider reducing these taxes to ease the economic pressure on the people,” Alhaji Musa stated.

Along with addressing the country’s economic difficulties, Alhaji Musa emphasized the critical importance of tackling youth unemployment. “The youth are the future of this nation, but they are facing severe challenges in finding employment. We must create sustainable job opportunities for them to ensure they can contribute to the development of Ghana,” he said. “The government should prioritize initiatives that promote job creation and skills development among young people.”

Moreover, Alhaji Musa Osman made an impassioned appeal for unity among Ghanaians.

He called on all citizens to come together and support President Mahama in his efforts to develop the country. “Now is the time for all of us to unite and support President Mahama in building a prosperous Ghana for all,” he added.

Alhaji Musa also addressed the recent incidents involving some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth, who have been involved in the destruction of state property. He urged the youth to exercise patience and refrain from such actions. “I understand their frustrations, but vandalism is not the answer. We must remain calm and allow President Mahama and his government to implement the necessary reforms. Patience and understanding are essential if we are to build the Ghana we all desire,” Alhaji Musa concluded.
