    AMANSIE CENTRAL ASSEMBLY RALLIES BEHIND ISAAC OSEI DUA WITH 91% ENDORSEMENT FOR FOURTH TERM

    The Amansie Central District Assembly has overwhelmingly renewed the mandate of Hon. Isaac Osei Dua, re-electing him as Presiding Member for a historic fourth term with a commanding 91 percent endorsement.

    The election, held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Nana Fosu Kwadwo Abiri II Conference Hall, was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere.

    Out of 39 Assembly Members, 38 were present and participated in the voting process. Of the 38 votes cast, 37 voted YES, representing 91 percent approval, while one member voted NO representing 3%..

    The decisive outcome underscores the strong unity within the Assembly and the confidence members continue to repose in Hon. Osei Dua’s leadership.

    Acceptance Speech: “A Vote for Progress and Unity”

    In his acceptance speech, Hon. Isaac Osei Dua, a professional classroom teacher, expressed profound gratitude to his colleagues for the renewed trust.

    “Your votes were not cast for an individual alone. They were cast for consistency, strength in leadership, and a proven record of service.

    This renewed mandate sends a clear message,Amansie Central chooses progress over uncertainty, unity over division, and action over empty rhetoric.”

    He emphasized that leadership is about delivering tangible results rather than merely occupying a position. Reflecting on his previous tenure, he highlighted efforts to strengthen the Assembly’s oversight responsibilities, improve discipline in deliberations, and ensure that development projects progressed without unnecessary delays.

    Hon. Osei Dua assured residents that under his new mandate, the Assembly would remain focused on accountability, transparency, and accelerated development,not political gamesmanship.

    He acknowledged the expectations of the people of Amansie Central, including youth, traders, farmers, artisans, and public servants, who look forward to improved roads, quality education, enhanced sanitation, job opportunities, and strengthened security.

    Assembly Members Pledge Support

    An Assembly Member, speaking after the election, described Hon. Osei Dua as “a unifying leader whose calm and firm approach has brought stability and direction to the Assembly.”

    “We are confident that his experience and dedication will continue to move Amansie Central forward. We pledge our full support to ensure that his fourth term achieves even greater development,” the member added.

    DCE Commends Peaceful Endorsement

    The District Chief Executive for Amansie Central, Emmanuel Obeng Agyemang, commended members for the peaceful and overwhelming endorsement.

    He called for sustained cooperation and collective effort to realize the district’s development agenda, stressing that government alone cannot achieve meaningful transformation without collaboration among stakeholders and the Assembly.

    Official Declaration and Swearing-In

    The District Director of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Madam Hagar Reachal Owusu, officially declared Hon. Isaac Osei Dua as Presiding Member-elect at the close of polls.

    Her Worship Eugenea Fordjour subsequently administered the oath of office, formally ushering him into his fourth term.


    With this emphatic endorsement, the Amansie Central District Assembly has demonstrated remarkable unity and renewed commitment to accelerating development and improving the lives of residents across the district.
