    Atwima Mponua clash MP Visits family house of Nyinahin Victims:

     

    Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency, today ,Friday 25th April visited Nyinahin Government Hospital to sympathize with the families of victims involved in a clash between soldiers and Nyinahin youth. The incident occurred when soldiers in a military vehicle with registration number 73 GA 39 shot at a group of youth heading to a cemetery to bury a friend, resulting in one death and two injuries.

    The Victims’ Status reveals that,Kofi Owusu (36 years old), widely known as (Kushivi) Unfortunately, he succumbed to injuries from the shooting.
    Kofi Agyapong (44 years old), Currently receiving medical treatment at Nyinahin Government Hospital and Alfred Kwarteng (24 years old) who were also undergoing treatment at the Nyinahin government hospital were discharged.

    Hon. Seth Osei Akoto’s visit demonstrates his commitment to supporting constituents during challenging times.

    Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency, appealed to the youth to maintain peace in the area, assuring them that he is working tirelessly to seek justice for all parties involved in the recent incident. By emphasizing the importance of peace, Hon. Akoto aims to prevent further escalation and promote a calm environment while investigations and justice processes unfold.

    Mr. Oppong, brother of the late Kofi Owusu (also known as Kushivi), also made a heartfelt appeal to the public for support in caring for the eight children left behind by the deceased. This emotional plea highlights the challenges faced by the family and the need for community assistance to ensure the well-being and future of these children.
