Atwima Mponua DCE Pushes for Bold Investment in Nyinahin’s Hidden Bauxite Treasure

In what could spark a major economic transformation for the Ashanti Region, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, Ibrahim Issahak, is urging both the national government and private investors to turn their eyes toward Nyinahin’s untapped bauxite wealth.

Nyinahin, long known for its lush forests and hardworking people, sits on one of Ghana’s richest bauxite deposits a natural resource that could power industries, create thousands of jobs, and uplift communities across the district.

But despite this enormous potential, the DCE says the area remains underdeveloped, waiting for the right push to unlock its promise.

“We have the resource that can change lives and shape Ghana’s future. What we need now is bold investment and partnership,” Ibrahim Issahak, DCE, Atwima Mponua.

He’s calling for strategic collaboration between government and investors to accelerate responsible exploration and development, paving the way for better roads, schools, industries, and employment opportunities.

As Ghana looks to diversify its economy, Nyinahin’s bauxite could very well be the game-changerband Atwima Mponua is ready to rise.
