LETS NOT BLAME GOVERNMENT FOR CONSTANT FLOODING-NPP GURU TO GHANAIANS:

The New Patriotic Party-NPP,Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency secretary,Mr Richard Kwabena Sarpong has stated that, the recent flooding in our communities, cities and country is not because we do not have good drainage linkages. He said, time is due to start learning from our mistakes and correct them all rather than shifting blames on government as the cause of recent flooding that we all experiencing in this rainy season.

According to him,we have good drainages, expect ingineers but our unreasonable attitudes shamelessly choked our gutters and water path with filth.

In his statement, the former Tescom president at Kwadaso Agriculture College (KAC) and current assistant secretary of Ashanti Regional secretaries Association of the governing NPP said,We have through our selfish desires built in waterways, foolishly filled waterlog areas with sand for whatever reasons. We have consciously removed our vegetation covers to allow increased surface flow of running water; some stupidly diverts water paths just for what reasons they want or have. We, the politicians can not do it.

In an exclusive with this medium www.dailywatchgh.com,Mr Sarpong said,it’s prudent to delegate our sanitaion and environmental issues to the Ghana Armed Forces. It is time we saw the dying environment and sanitation issues as a National Security Threat and dealt with it as such.

Touching on political aspect,We the politicians are not made to fight terrorists and war mongers, same can’t fight our dying sanitation issues,he added.
