Former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Bryan Acheampong, has passionately appealed to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rally behind his bid to become the party’s 2028 presidential flagbearer, promising to restore unity, discipline, and the true spirit of the NPP.

Speaking to a large crowd of party faithful at Ahenema Kokoben in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the Ashanti Region on Friday, 24th October 2025, Acheampong declared that his leadership would “rebuild the broken bridges” within the party and “restore the energy and confidence that once defined the NPP.”

He cautioned that the current atmosphere of internal factionalism, stemming from divisions following the 2024 flagbearer race led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is gradually weakening the NPP’s unity and making it vulnerable ahead of future elections.

“Our great party must rise above camps and cliques. The NPP needs a leader who can unite all fronts and reignite the true spirit of hard work, loyalty, and patriotism that has always defined us,” Hon. Bryan Acheampong
underscored that Ghana’s next phase of development demands a strong, united NPP that places people over personalities. He said his administration would emphasize discipline, inclusiveness, job creation, and grassroots empowerment, describing the grassroots as “the heartbeat of the party.”

“When the grassroots are strong, the party is strong. When we are united, no opposition can defeat us. I am ready to bring everyone together and rebuild this party into a winning force once again,”
Bryan Acheampong also pledged to empower the youth and nurture a new generation of selfless NPP leaders driven by service rather than personal gain.

The event drew a large crowd, including constituency executives, polling station officers, the Council of Elders, and the Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Kofi Amankwa-Manu, all of whom expressed confidence in Acheampong’s leadership vision.

Supporters at the event hailed him as a “leader with energy, courage, and foresight,” capable of healing divisions and positioning the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.

“If you want unity, strength, and victory in 2028, vote Bryan Acheampong,”.
