    Deputy Health Minister Adelaide Ntim Leads Delegation of 155 Ghanaian Nurses to Barbados for Employment

    In a significant move to strengthen healthcare services on the island, Deputy Health Minister Hon. Adelaide Ntim has led a delegation of 155 Ghanaian nurses to Barbados.

    The nurses are expected to get immediate employment by the government of Barbados to boost Healthcare delivery on the island.

    This development follows Barbados’ request for trained nurses from Ghana to address shortages in their communities .

    Hon. Adelaide Ntim praised Barbados officials for selecting Ghanaian nurses, assuring them that these nurses are well-trained and experienced, ready to contribute to Barbados’ healthcare system .

    The Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo pledged Government of Ghana continue support for the ongoing for this initiative.

    Barbados’ Minister of Health and Wellness, Senator Jerome Walcott, confirmed that vacancies are available for the Ghanaian nurses, citing a critical shortage of trained nurses in some poly clinics as the motivation behind seeking Ghanaian professionals.

    Notably, Ghanaian nurses previously employed in Barbados have demonstrated exceptional performance.

    This collaboration marks the third cohort of Ghanaian nurses to join Barbados’ healthcare workforce .

    The partnership aims to strengthen healthcare services on the island, addressing the critical shortage of nurses.
