Exposure of Fraudulent YEA Appointment in Amenfi East Constituency:
To All Media Houses, Political Stakeholders, and the General Public,
I write to address an urgent and deeply troubling matter concerning the unauthorized, fraudulent, and fictitious appointment of one Mr. Alidu Dramani as the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Director for Amenfi East Constituency.
As a Constituency Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Amenfi East, my attention has been drawn to the widespread claims and publications suggesting that Mr. Alidu Dramani has been officially appointed as the YEA Director for our constituency. I wish to state unequivocally, that the said appointment is illegitimate, fraudulent, and was made through a process that completely undermined the structures, protocols, and authority of our party and the Youth Employment Agency.
1. Procedural Breach
In accordance with the internal arrangements and guidelines communicated by the Regional Directorate of our party and relevant stakeholders, all YEA Director appointments in the Western Region were to be done in consultation with the officially recognized Youth Organizers in each of the 17 constituencies. It is, therefore, highly irregular and alarming that a name not subjected to this process is being paraded as an appointee.
During the official announcement of YEA appointments at the Western Regional Office, I was present in person, along with other constituency Youth Organizers and Mr. Alidu Dramani. At that meeting, it was explicitly stated by the authorities that no appointment had yet been made for Amenfi East—our constituency’s nomination had been placed on hold for further consultation and resolution. This renders the current claim in favour of Mr. Dramani and his cohorts as a fraudulent misrepresentation of facts, and should be treated as such.
2. False Allegations Against My Person
It has also come to my notice that fabricated stories are being circulated suggesting that:
• I declined the YEA appointment when contacted by the MCE and Regional leaders.
• I nominated one Kwabena Amo Fosu Andy as my preferred replacement.
These claims are utter falsehoods, concocted to justify the illegitimate backdoor actions of those pushing for the said appointment. For the records:
• I was never contacted in the first place and to even be talking about my refusal such appointment. I want to place on the records.
• Mr. Kwabena Amo Fosu Andy is a friend and campaign associate who holds no interest or affiliation with the Youth Employment Agency and has never sought nor discussed such an appointment.
3. Call for Official Clarity and Public Alert
This fraudulent act is a clear attempt to undermine the authority of the elected Youth Organizer and to manipulate the laid process and conventions that must be guided by fairness, legitimacy, and respect for party structures.
I hereby call on:
• The Regional Executives of the NDC, the YEA Secretariat, and relevant governmental authorities to investigate this matter thoroughly.
• All party faithful, the general public, and media outlets to disregard and condem any claims that Mr. Alidu Dramani is the YEA Director for Amenfi East.
4. My Demand for Transparency and Justice
As the legitimate representative of the youth in Amenfi East and a committed servant of the party, I humbly and firmly demand that the due process be followed and that I will be considered, as per the original party arrangements, for the position of YEA Director for the constituency.
Let us remain committed to truth, accountability, fairness and justice in championing our course. I urge the public to be vigilant and reject any form of political impersonation and fraudulent self-glorification. We must protect the credibility and sanctify of our institution and uphold the trust reposed in us by the people.
