Hon. Muntaka Mubarak Launches Phase II of Free Eyecare & Breast Cancer Screening in Greater Kumasi

The Member of Parliament for Asawase, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has launched the second phase of his Annual Free Eyecare and Breast Cancer Screening Exercise, extending the life-saving health outreach beyond Asawase to cover parts of the Greater Kumasi enclave.

This year’s edition, scheduled from Tuesday, October 28 to Friday, November 14, 2025, will reach 15 communities across 10 constituencies, offering free medical screening and NHIS renewals to thousands of residents.

The initiative follows a highly successful first phase, during which over 4,000 residents were screened and thousands of National Health Insurance cards renewed across all 15 electoral areas within Asawase.

The 2025 outreach will provide the following services at no cost:

The MP’s annual outreach has become one of the most impactful community health programs in the Ashanti Region, aligning with national efforts to promote early diagnosis and universal health coverage.

    Public Encouraged to Participate
