A prominent figure within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency, Solomon Reuben Jabari, has taken a bold and unprecedented step by pledging to fully sponsor nomination forms for all aspirants in the party’s upcoming branch elections.

The intervention is already generating excitement across the constituency, with many party faithful describing it as a game-changing move that will remove financial barriers and deepen grassroots participation in the party’s internal democratic process.

In a public notice, Mr. Jabari announced his decision to absorb the full cost of nomination forms for every interested applicant, stressing that the initiative is aimed at promoting inclusivity and equal opportunity for all qualified members, regardless of their financial capacity.

“I have decided to personally pay for the cost of nomination forms for all applicants in the upcoming branch elections,” he stated, underscoring his commitment to strengthening the party’s foundation at the grassroots level.

Under the outlined timetable, nomination forms will be made available online from May 2 to May 16, 2026, with the branch elections scheduled to take place on May 20, 2026.

Political analysts believe the move could significantly increase participation and competitiveness within the constituency, paving the way for more dynamic and representative leadership at the branch level.

Supporters of Mr. Jabari have widely applauded the initiative, hailing it as a strong demonstration of visionary leadership, unity, and dedication to the growth of the NDC.

Many argue that such efforts are crucial in energizing the party’s base and positioning it for future electoral success.

Party members and aspiring candidates are therefore encouraged to seize this opportunity and actively engage in the electoral process.

The upcoming branch elections form a key part of the NDC’s broader restructuring agenda, aimed at consolidating its grassroots support and enhancing organizational effectiveness nationwide.
