    Kwadaso MCE put smiles on the faces of People living with Disabilities.

    Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has supported over fourty (40) people living with disabilities. The donations were in such categories as financial support, medical support, education support and items and income generation.

    The items included deep freezers, sewing machines, wheelchairs, piglets, electric machines, fufu pounding machines, hair dryers. The rest of the items included knitting machine,rollers,and physical cash.

    Delivering the items to the beneficiaries at Kwadaso, the Municipal Social Welfare Director for the area, Mrs Linda Opoku Addai said the government and for that matter, the Assembly had the desire to alleviate the challenges of the physically challenged and make life bearable for them.

    She lauded adviced to beneficiaries, to use the support given them wisely, judiciously and for it intended purpose. According to her most DISABLES are capable of, and have capacity to turn their lives around positively, with the right Mental Attitude, and co-operation with family members. He reiterated that family members should not neglect them but advised to collaborate and support its Disadvantaged for attainment of the Social Economic Empowerment and well being.

    Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Richmond Agyenim Boateng said the Assembly will embark on monitoring to ensure that the items and the money given them will achieved it intended purpose.

    Beneficiaries who received the item at the function thus Kwadaso Municipal PWDs Expressed their profound gratitude to the Assembly and the NPP government for supporting them. He asked God to bless them abundantly. He also urged his colleagues not to squander the money and desist from sitting on the streets and beg for money for survival and encouraged them not to be discriminated.
