Lil Win’s Great Minds International School Holds Graduation Ceremony

The Great Minds International School in Offinso Ahenkro, Ashanti Region, recently held a graduation ceremony for its primary and junior high school (JHS) students.

The 2024 Speech and Prize Giving Day and Graduation Ceremony provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents in singing, cadet drills, poetry recitals, and broadcasting.

The school’s founder, renowned Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah-Lilwin, addressed the audience with palpable enthusiasm. He expressed his profound joy at giving young people the chance to display their talents and experience the benefits of education. Reflecting on his own early dropout from school, he emphasized the significance of education.

His personal journey underscored the significance of educational opportunities, which he now passionately supports through the school.

Education Director of Afigya Kwabre South, David Akwesi, commended Dr. Lilwin for his vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to providing quality education, which has been the cornerstone of the school’s success. He noted that the founder’s leadership has created an environment where children are nurtured, inspired, and empowered to reach their potential.

Addressing the theme “Ghana’s Pivotal Role in Basic Education: A Special Tool for Election 2024,” he emphasized the importance of harnessing and embracing education as a transformative tool for the nation’s development and democratic process.

He stated that basic education lays the foundation for lifelong learning and development, equipping individuals with essential knowledge, skills, and values necessary to navigate life’s challenges and opportunities.

In Ghana, basic education serves as the bedrock of our education system, shaping the minds and futures of young citizens, he added. He also highlighted the need to recognize the role of education in fostering active citizenship, making informed decisions, and holding leaders accountable.

“Great Minds International School plays a critical role in nurturing the quality of our students and preparing them to be responsible and participatory citizens. We celebrate the hard work of students and their achievements,” he said.

He advised students to understand that education is not just about acquiring knowledge but about developing character and contributing to society.
