Covid-19:Bantamahene donates items worth GH¢60,000 to calm lockdown.

The Chief of Bantama, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI has donated food and relief items worth GHC60,000.00 to some thirteen(13) communities under his Jurisdiction to help calm the hardships brought by the covid-19 lockdown directive by the president.

The food and relief items include bags of rice ,oil ,sardines and other Personal Protective Equipment( PPEs)- Veronica buckets,gloves ,hand sanitizers ,hand washing bowls disposable tissue papers and liquid soaps.

Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI advised the people to stay at home and abide by the safety measures and guidelines laid down by Ghana Health Service and World Health Organisation to fight covid-19.

Some of the beneficiary communities are Afari, Nirebehi, Bekwame, Hwidiem, Afrancho, Atwima Koforidua and others.

Mr Joseph Oppong Boadi who presented the relief items on behalf of Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI commended the government for the swift intervention in the midst of the covid-19 outbreak stressing that "the immediate intervention by the president and his officials helped a long way to salvage the situation and prevented a large spread of the disease".

He  encouraged areas affected by the partial lockdown to obey the lockdown directive to help check the spread of covid-19 pandemic.
