MTN Ghana Celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month with The Theme “Living With Security”

MTN Ghana has marked this year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month under the theme “Living with Security.”

This initiative highlights MTN’s commitment to fostering a secure digital environment for all stakeholders.

In announcing the launch, MTN Ghana’s CEO, Mr. Stephen Blewett, emphasized the critical role of cybersecurity in the organization’s success, stating, “In today’s interconnected world, cybersecurity is a shared responsibility.”

To protect the digital landscape and equip staff with the knowledge and tools needed for a secure online environment, MTN Ghana continually enhances its cybersecurity efforts to safeguard its digital ecosystem.

MTN Ghana is also collaborating with the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications to foster discussions on the latest trends, threats, and best practices in cybersecurity.

The partnership aims to engage stakeholders in churches, mosques, and schools on topics such as managing misinformation, digital parenting, and online safety.

Mr. Bernard Acquah, the Chief Information Officer for MTN Ghana, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity, saying, “Cybersecurity is a fundamental aspect of living in the digital age.

At MTN, we are dedicated to empowering our community with knowledge and tools for online safety. Our theme, ‘Living with Security,’ reflects this commitment.”

He encouraged participation in the Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities and stressed the need for proactive digital security measures to address evolving online challenges.

Over the years, MTN Ghana has commemorated the Cybersecurity Awareness Month to educate the public, encourage safe online behavior, discuss emerging threats, and foster cyber resilience.
