    MTN Ghana Launches 2025 Y’ello care Program in Kumasi

    The General Manager for MTN Ghana Northern Business District, Nii Adotey Mingle, has launched the 2025 Y’ellocare program in Kumasi.

    The program, themed “Connect at the Root,” aims to leverage technology to build youth capacity and bridge the digital divide in communities.

    According to Mr. Adotey, the program is designed to empower communities through technology and transformation.

    He emphasized that MTN is committed to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, and the Y’ello care program is a key part of this effort.

    The annual Y’ello care event brings together MTN staff to undertake voluntary activities, focusing on leveraging technology to connect communities and build youth capacity.

    Mr. Adotey called on staff to get involved in the activities, emphasizing that the program is a reflection of MTN’s commitment to impacting lives.

    He highlighted the importance of community engagement, noting that connection goes beyond signals and screens to ensure all Ghanaians have access to new technology.

    “We are not only in the business of connecting, we are in the business of transforming lives,” he stated.

    Mr. Adotey also acknowledged that despite Ghana’s advancements in technology, there are still barriers to access that need to be addressed

    He emphasized that MTN is committed to bridging these gaps to enhance lives through the Y’ello care projects.

    The launch of the 2025 Y’ello care program in Kumasi underscores MTN Ghana’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves and empowering the next generation through technology.

    The Corporate Service advisor of MTN Ghana,Northern sector, Madam Charity Darko, provided details on this year’s Y’ello care program module.

    According to her, the Ashanti region will focus on mobile phone repairs training to create jobs for the youth and boost their livelihoods.

    The program will also feature ICT mobile van training across selected communities, benefiting pupils in various schools and sharpening their ICT skills.

    Additionally, the project will include the donation of school uniforms to support students.

    Madam Darko emphasized that the initiative aims to make a positive impact on the lives of the youth, enabling them to acquire skills and secure better opportunities.

    The Yello care program is part of MTN Ghana’s corporate social responsibility efforts to give back to the communities it serves.
