    Naa Torshie donates GH₵100,000 to Adum-Blue Light fire victims, promises continued support

    A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Irene Naa Torshie Addo, has made a cash donation of GHs 100,000 to victims of the devastating Adum-blue light fire outbreak.

    She presented the cash to the leadership of the affected traders when she visited the area on Friday.

    Accompanying her were Hon. Collins Ntim (former Deputy Minister for Local Government), CEO for Georgia Hotel- Madam Georgina Konadu Adepa Kusi, Subin Constituency and regional executives of the New Patriotic Party.

    The donation was made through funding support acquired from ReneAddo Foundation.


    She presented the cash to the leadership of the affected traders when she visited the area on Friday.

    Accompanying her were Hon. Collins Ntim (former Deputy Minister for Local Government), CEO for Georgia Hotel- Madam Georgina Konadu Adepa Kusi, Subin Constituency and regional executives of the New Patriotic Party.


    After the presentation, Nana Torshie said the NPP sympathises with the victims regarding the tragic loss of their livelihood.

    She added that, several donations received from the party to all affected traders at Adum-blue light showcase NPP’s love for them irrespective of their political affiliations.

    Naa Torshie Addo who is a known philanthropist and a legal practitioner pledged to offer them more support aside the cash donation.

    In her address, she expressed her deep concern for the victims and mentioned that beyond the financial support, she will turn up again to educate them on the need for traders to get their businesses insured.

    She also pledged to sensitize them on the importance of electrical safety in public trading spaces and caution them against the prevalent practice of indiscriminate wiring extensions, which often result in circuit overloads and overheating.
