    NALAG 2ND VICE PRESIDENT PRAISES JDM FOR ASSEMBLY MEMBERS ALLOWANCE:


    Hon Daniel Kwaku Mensah, the 2nd Vice President, National Association of local authorities of Ghana (NALAG) and Assembly member for Manso Moseaso electoral area in Amansie West district of Ashanti region, has praised President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his campaign promise to provide allowances to all Assembly members nationwide. This development is a significant step in supporting the welfare of assembly members, who play a crucial role in local governance.

    As the 2nd Vice President, NALAG, Hon Daniel Kwaku Mensah widely known as DKM secured 438 votes to become the Second Vice President, beating his only challenger, Mr Michael Ahwireng who had 94 votes in an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission.

    NALAG’s recognition of President Mahama’s efforts highlights the organization’s commitment to promoting effective local governance and advocating for the interests of local authorities. The association aims to improve the general welfare of Assembly members and deepen local government systems and structures through capacity building,he said.
