NDC Loyalist Speaks on Why Mahama Has No Interest In Debating Bawumia

A reknowned Kumasi based broadcast Journalism and member of National Democratic Congress communication team,Hon Prince Kwadwo Krobea Asante has revealed that, Ghana’s strongest opposition party NDC has decided not to participate in any IEA debate should it take place in the country.

Hon Krobea Asante, a loyal member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since 2007, made obvious revelation on Thursday, August 8, during the Maakye Program on Kessben Fm, that the party has decided not to participate in the IEA debate when asked by host Kwabena Owusu Dankwa widely known as KOD if the NDC would join the debate if it were to take place.

He emphatically stated that the party would not be involved. According to Krobea Asante, the NDC has been focused on campaigning and delivering their messages directly to the citizens of Ghana, which they consider more important than participating in debates.

He also claimed that many Ghanaians support the party’s decision to forego debates and instead engage with the public directly. “If we have any debate, it will be with Ghanaians,” he emphasized.

Hon Krobea Asante who is a one term Assembly Member of the good people of Bonwire in Ejisu Municipal Assembly and former Metro fm News editor, reiterated that the decision not to participate in the IEA debate was a collective agreement within the party.

“The NDC party has decided not to go for the IEA debate; it is the party’s decision, and we all agree with it. If there should be any debate, we will do it with the citizens of Ghana. We have been campaigning, and that’s the most important thing. Ghanaians know our campaign messages,” he stated
