Otumfour Sika Kuahene Enstools Former Yabi Assemblymember as Nifa; Charges Him To Be Ambassador of Development:
A former Assembly member for the good people of Yabi, Akosomo ,ApaasiElectoral Area in the Atwima Kwanwoma municipal of Ashanti region, Nana Osei Tutu, has been enstoolled as the Nifahene to Otumfour Sika Kuahene alongside two other new occupants in a traditional ceremony held at the Sika Kua Stool House,Atwima Yabi.
Speaking in an interview with this medium www.dailywatchgh.comafter the coronation, Nana Osei Tutu expressed his utmost gratitude to the Asantehene, Osei Tutu II, as well as the Sika Kuahene, Nana Fosu Annin II for the great honour bestowed upon him. As part of his pledges to the stool, he stated that he would strenuously champion an agenda for development for Sika Kua and Yabi at all times. Additionally, he has promised to maintain a humble posture and render his services with diligence.
In his succinct word of advice to Nana Osei Tutu and the two new occupants, Otumfour Sika Kuahene, Nana Nana Fosu Annin II, emphasised the need for leaders to prioritise service to humanity rather than acquisition of personal wealth from the stool. He urged them to emulate Asantehene’s selflessness and sense of respect for all manner of persons. He also seized the opportunity to appeal to government and benevolent persons for the construction of three public places of convenience. According to him, the only existing public toilet – which was built by the Chief of Yabi,Nana Akontomere Kwame Frimpong- is under intense pressure. He has, therefore, expressed confidence in the new occupants to act as ambassadors of development for the area.
