Razak Kojo Poku Endorses Chairman Wontumi’s Candidacy as NPP’s Next National Chairman
Renowned NPP stalwart and grassroots strategist, Razak Kojo Poku, has officially declared his support for Chairman Wontumi as the next National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Razak, Chairman Wontumi’s unwavering dedication to the party, deep understanding of local political dynamics, and proven ability to mobilize both grassroots supporters and elite stakeholders make him the ideal candidate to lead the NPP at the national level.
“You may have your reservations, but trust me—Chairman Wontumi is one of the most effective political strategists in our party. He knows how to win elections—not with grammar, but by genuinely connecting with the people. From 2016 to 2024, I’ve worked with him closely, and I can confidently say he’s an asset to the NPP, despite his flaws,” Razak stated.
He further emphasized that under Chairman Wontumi’s leadership in the Ashanti Region, the NPP consistently delivered some of its strongest electoral performances. He believes that Wontumi’s transition into national leadership would significantly boost the party’s chances heading into the 2028 general elections and beyond.
“It’s time to look beyond personalities and focus on competence, loyalty, and strategy. Chairman Wontumi has earned his stripes,” he added.
This endorsement is expected to add considerable momentum to Chairman Wontumi’s potential bid for National Chairman, as the NPP charts a path toward renewed unity, stronger organization, and electoral victory in the years ahead.
