RE EMPLOY THE OVER 12000 SACKED WORKER’S BY ROLLING OUT PROMISED 24HR ECONOMY PROGRAM – YIADOM BOAKYE YB to Government

RE EMPLOY THE OVER 12000 SACKED WORKER’S BY ROLLING OUT PROMISED 24HR ECONOMY PROGRAM – YIADOM BOAKYE YB to Government.

I joined Carlos Calony ( host ) and other youths in the country on JoyNews via Zoom with Lawyer George Opare Addo ( Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment ) as guest on their program “The Probe “. “120 days into NDCs youth manifesto : turning the tide for the youth or recycling same old political rhetoric?” was the topic for discussion.

The minister seems to have forgotten himself of his role, thereby behaving as if he’s still on a campaign tour . He seems to be making more promises instead of telling Ghanaians what he and his government have been able to achieve so far as youth development and empowerment are concerned.

His constant repetition and over reliance on the launching of the “adwumawura ” project without recourse to specific details of the number of beneficiaries as well as regional and gender distribution brings no hope.

Again, they’re making new promises of a vice presidential pitch when the earlier deceptive promises in their manifesto have not been achieved. The constant cry for financial support makes these new promises nothing to write home about and has no figment of truth in them .

All we’ve been asking is for them to tell us about their achievements in their 120 days in office and not to add salt to our miseries by making more promises.

I’ll forever express my disappointment in the government for the sacking of the over 12000 public sector workers and challenge them to roll out their 24-hour economy campaign promise.
