See Agriculture As Lucrative Business- Dunkwahene to Youth:

Kofrobur Dr. Obeng Nuako III, the Paramount Chief of Dunkwa-On-Offin, has urged youth of today to take agricultural profitably and see it as lucrative business agriculture as a viable.

Speaking during the observation of the first Akwasidae of the 2025, the chief advised the youth to move away from over-reliance on government jobs and explore opportunities within the agricultural sector for sustainable livelihoods.

“The agriculture sector holds enormous potential for young people to create wealth and improve their living standards. Relying solely on government jobs is not the way forward,” Okofrobur Dr. Obeng Nuako III emphasized.

The chief also cautioned workers to avoid misappropriating funds at their workplaces, stating that such actions often sabotage their employers and contribute to the collapse of businesses. He called for a renewed sense of responsibility and commitment among citizens to ensure the stability and growth of enterprises.

In his address, Okofrobur Dr. Obeng Nuako III encouraged the youth to refrain from engaging in social vices such as smoking, drug abuse, and other detrimental behaviors. Instead, he urged them to channel their energy and creativity into productive ventures that would benefit themselves and the community.

Furthermore, the chief appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the development of the Dunkwa-On-Offin enclave, highlighting the vast land available in the area for investors seeking to establish businesses. He noted that such investments could significantly contribute to economic growth and improve the livelihoods of the people in the region.

“Dunkwa-On-Offin has the potential to become an economic hub with the right support from the government and private sector. I call on the president and his team to focus on developing our area and creating opportunities for our people,” the chief stated.

Okofrobur Dr. Obeng Nuako III also urged government officials and appointees to embrace the “Ghana First” mantra in their decision-making and execution of their mandates. He stressed the importance of prioritizing the nation’s development and working in unity to achieve progress for all.

The chief’s remarks have been widely welcomed, with many residents commending his call for youth empowerment and national development.

As the community continues to explore ways to attract investment and create opportunities, the hope is that his message will inspire actionable steps from both the government and the private sector.
