Stop the False Blame-Bryan Acheampong campaign team Punches at Critics

The campaign machinery behind Dr. Bryan Acheampong has come out swinging, rejecting what it calls a manufactured narrative that seeks to paint the Abetifi lawmaker as the reason behind the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) electoral setback.

In a strongly-worded rebuttal, the team described the accusations as politically mischievous, intellectually lazy, and strategically misplaced, insisting that critics are desperately clutching at his previous comments to find a convenient scapegoat.

Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a high-profile figure and influential contender in the NPP’s 2028 presidential contest, has been trending since detractors resurfaced his past remarks suggesting the NPP would not “hand over power to the NDC.” Some have sought to weaponize the statement as evidence that his rhetoric damaged the party’s image and influenced voters against them.

“Bryan is NOT the Cause-Facts Don’t Support That Argument”

According to the campaign spokesperson, the allegation is nothing more than political propaganda being pushed by individuals uncomfortable with Bryan’s rising influence and widespread grassroots appeal.

“This entire claim is hollow, emotional, and lacks any credible basis,” he asserted.
“Attempting to reduce a nationwide electoral performance to a single comment is not only simplistic but irresponsible.”

He explained that Ghana’s democratic space is complex, and electoral outcomes are always shaped by multiple national issues, not by political statements taken out of context.

Context Was Twisted, Now Weaponized, Campaign Team

The team emphasized that the comment in question was originally made to challenge party loyalists to work tirelessly to maintain political power through legitimate means, not to imply unconstitutional conduct.

“Bryan never suggested subverting democracy. He only urged the NPP to work hard to remain in power,” the statement clarified.
“It is mischievous to twist this into something sinister.”

They further stressed that the resurfacing of this remark only proves that opponents believe Bryan is a serious force to reckon with as the next flagbearership race approaches.

    Internal Sabotage? Team Fires Warning

The Acheampong team suspects that some individuals within the party are intentionally fanning the allegation to hinder his growing momentum, especially as the NPP begins its post-defeat soul-searching.

Instead of building unity, some are committed to creating chaos, the spokesperson lamented.
“Those attacking Bryan are indirectly sabotaging the party’s future prospects.”

The team called for restraint and urged party members to stop fueling internal division, warning that such actions only weaken the NPP’s image and benefit its opponents.

    Bryan Remains Loyal, Focused,Team Reaffirms

Despite the uproar, the campaign team reiterated that Dr. Bryan Acheampong remains firmly loyal to the NPP and committed to democratic principles. They highlighted his long record of service, his investment in community development, and the strong backing he enjoys across the country.

“Bryan is forward-looking. He is focused on solutions not petty blame games,” they said.

They urged supporters and analysts to approach discussions with maturity and intellectual honesty as the party prepares for the future.

    “Time to Rebuild-Not Blame”

Concluding, the team underscored that the NPP should stop chasing shadows and instead evaluate the real factors behind their loss whether economic, organizational, or strategic and begin rebuilding from there.

“Pointing fingers solves nothing,” the statement concluded.
“Unity, reflection, and hard work are the only paths to victory in 2028.”
