Tragedy in Amansie Central:Four Feared Dead at Sukuumu Mining Site

At least four people have reportedly lost their lives at Sukuumu, a mining community near Gyaman Nkwanta in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
Information gathered from closed sources indicates that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, throwing the community into shock and fear.
Confirming the development to Dailywatchgh.com, the District Chief Executive for Amansie Central and head of the District Security Council (DISEC), Hon. Emmanuel Obeng-Agyemang, disclosed that the Amansie Central District Police Commander under the Ashanti South Regional Police command had officially confirmed the incident and was on his way to the scene as of 8:16 a.m. on Thursday.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, as security officials are yet to release a full report on the cause of the deaths.
Meanwhile, residents and miners in the area are said to be in a state of panic following the tragic incident.
