URGENT ROYAL SUMMONS: ASANTEHENE CALLS EMERGENCY ASANTEMAN COUNCIL MEETING

On behalf of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, the Asanteman Council has formally issued a royal summons to all members of the Council, the Kumasi Traditional Council, and all relevant stakeholders to converge at the Manhyia Palace for an emergency meeting on Monday, 11th August 2025, commencing precisely at 10:00 a.m.

This gathering, called under the direct authority of the Golden Stool, underscores the seriousness of the matters to be discussed. In Asante tradition, such a summons reflects pressing issues of national and cultural significance, requiring the united wisdom and counsel of all chiefs, elders, and representatives of the Asanteman Kingdom.

Kwame Adusei Agyemang, Registrar of the Kumasi Traditional Council, reiterated the weight of the invitation, stating that attendance is compulsory and that no absence will be tolerated without a valid and prior explanation. All members are expected to arrive on time, adorned in the appropriate traditional regalia, in honour of the sacred seat of Asante authority.

The emergency meeting is anticipated to address critical concerns affecting the Kingdom, with deliberations guided by the wisdom, customs, and values that have sustained Asanteman for centuries. The Manhyia Palace, the spiritual and administrative heart of the Ashanti Kingdom, will serve as the setting for this important assembly.

This historic call to order reaffirms the enduring unity of the Asante people under the leadership of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the sacred covenant that binds the Golden Stool to its subjects.
