The second lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency, Samira Bawumia toured the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency on Sunday, 4th August 2024 to drum home the policies of the next NPP government.

The tour started from Sefwi Bekwai where the second lady was ushered into the Constituency by the Regional Chairman, Hon Benjamin Armah. A courtesy call was paid to the traditional council. At the various palaces, the chiefs expressed appreciation to the NPP government for the execution of various projects dotted across the length and breadth of the Constituency and the rolling out of the Free SHS policy. They however requested the construction of major roads and the creation of additional Districts within the Municipality. Additionally, the operationalization of a plantain processing factory at Subiri Nkwanta was also requested.

Hon Benjamin Armah, NPP Western North Regional Chairman, expressed appreciation to the second lady for the visit. He also pleaded with the residents of the Constituency to settle their differences and forge ahead to victory in December 2024.

The Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng reiterated his commitment to an accelerated development policy citing numerous interventions from the government ranging from Education, Health, Industry, Roads, and Employment. Others were Water and Sanitation, Agriculture, and his novel initiative – Greener Pastures.
