Wamase Erupts in Praise as Joshuah Agyei Transforms Community Through Self-Funded Projects

By: Justice Baffour Awuah, Managing Editor | www.dailywatchgh.com | 0246-930931
    Rural Report

The farming communities of Wamase, Kokotenten, and surrounding areas in the Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region are showering praises on a distinguished businessman and proud native, Mr. Joshuah Agyei, for his remarkable self-funded contributions toward the transformation of their communities.

During a routine rural reporting visit by Hon. Justice Baffour Awuah, residents and traditional authorities described Mr. Agyei as “a true son of the land who has not forgotten his roots.”

Massive Projects Undertaken by Mr. Agyei

Community leaders highlighted several major developmental interventions personally championed by Mr. Agyei, including:

Reconstruction and diversion of the Nyamebekyere–Wamase road network, which was previously in a deplorable state and a major barrier for travel, especially during heavy rains. The intervention has significantly eased transportation and boosted economic activity.

Educational support for brilliant but needy students and local schools.

Revival of an abandoned health facility, ensuring residents have access to basic healthcare closer to home.

Additional social and welfare initiatives aimed at improving overall living standards in Wamase and surrounding communities.

    Residents Praise His Selflessness

Residents told www.dailywatchgh.com that Mr. Agyei’s selfless efforts have bridged long-standing development gaps. They recalled how the poor state of the road network once made travel impossible during heavy rains, isolating the community. His intervention has transformed life for the people, opening access to trade, education, and healthcare.

Traditional authorities described his contributions as a reflection of true patriotism, urging other natives, both home and abroad, to emulate his example.

“He has shown that one person can make a huge difference,” a community leader said.

A Beacon of Hope for Rural Development

For many, Mr. Joshuah Agyei has become a beacon of hope, proving that meaningful development is possible when individuals commit themselves to the welfare of their communities rather than relying solely on government support.

Residents remain optimistic that his impactful contributions will attract further support from government agencies, NGOs, and philanthropists, accelerating development in the Akrofuom District.
