In a remarkable act of compassion and leadership,Hon. Dominic Bonsu, Assembly Member for Manso Takorasi Electoral Area in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, has donated hospital equipment valued at over GHS 35,000 to the Trauma, and Orthopedic Directorates of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

The donation, aimed at improving healthcare delivery and supporting critical care services, included:Standing Blood Pressure (BP) Apparatus

    Bed Structures

In addition to the medical equipment, Hon. Bonsu extended a deeply touching gesture by donating GHS 12,000 in cash to support an abandoned patient from Nandom in the northern part of Ghana. The financial assistance enabled the patient to settle outstanding medical bills and secure discharge from the facility, restoring hope and dignity at a critical moment.

A Gesture of Humanity and Leadership
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Leat Michael expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Bonsu for his generosity and commitment to healthcare support. He invoked God’s blessings upon him and appealed for continued partnership and assistance in the future to help address the hospital’s growing needs.

On behalf of patients at Ward C, Francis Appiah also conveyed heartfelt appreciation, describing the intervention as timely and life-changing. He noted that the donation would significantly improve patient care and bring relief to both staff and beneficiaries of the hospital’s services.

    Commitment to Community and Nation
Hon. Dominic Bonsu’s intervention reflects not only his dedication to his electoral area but also his broader commitment to national development and humanitarian service.

At a time when healthcare facilities continue to face logistical and financial challenges, such acts of kindness serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity.

His donation stands as a powerful reminder that leadership is not only about representation but also about compassion, responsibility, and tangible impact on lives.
