    Asantehene Applauds Rotary International District 9104 for its comprehensive support:

     

    The King of Ashanti kingdom,His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,has commended Rotary International District 9104 for it’s comprehensive support to the development of the country (Ghana).

    Addressing the gathering at the Rotary International District 9104 1st District Conference held in Kumasi on Friday, April 12, 2024, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene who was the guest honor of the occasion commended Rotary International District 9104 for its comprehensive support of the development of Ghana.

    To better lives and guarantee equal opportunities for their well-being, he pleaded with them to keep supporting Ghana in supplying social amenities to underprivileged communities.

    The conference was graced with powerful dignitaries including;

    The Conference Chair, PDG Jeff Afful
    His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene Guest of Honour,
    Honourable Simon Osei-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister,
    Rotary International President Representative, Drew Kessler and Spouse Vicki,
    PRID Sam Okudzeto – PRIMUS and Member of Council of State,
    Nana Agyakoma Difie II, Asante Mamponghemaa
    Nana Agyenim Boateng I, Amoamanhene
    Nananom and notable chiefs were present,
    Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo-Dampare
    Security Chiefs of the various arms of Command
    District Governor, D9103 – Germain Tomegah, and more.

    David Osei Amankwah, the Governor of Rotary International District 9104 in his speech said they were gathered together then with a shared purpose to explore how they can create hope in the world through their actions as Rotarians.

    According to him, they were gathered again to bring all Rotarians together to work toward achieving the goal of Rotary International District 9104.

    “This gathering is of extraordinary individuals dedicated to Serving above Self under the banner of Rotary. You are not just representatives of our communities. You, Rotarians are torchbearers of a timeless commitment to make our world a better place. Rotary is an organization possessed of no secret oath or obligation, no secret or mysterious initiation, with only one password….SERVICE”. He noted.

    He said Rotary International embodies the spirit of compassion, peace, and dedication to humanitarian causes, here in Ghana and the world over. From eradication and polio to providing clean water, all over the country to promoting peace, and improving literacy, Rotary in the district impacts communities, transcends limits, and is continuously touching countless lives.

    They were convened here in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana also to deliberate on the status of the district, and to inspire all the participants and fellow Rotarians, to go on to deliver successful and impactful projects, exceeding all expectations.
