Presiding Bishop Kicks Against Imposition of Fixed Fees by Gospel Musicians

Presiding Bishop for Gospel Champions Ministry International, Rev. Emmanuel Ankobea Kokroe has kicked against imposition of fixed fees by some Gospel musicians for their services.

He has asserted that such music artists are in the industry for business and financial reasons and should therefore not be taken serious.

The Kumasi-based Man of God lamented bitterly over the above ecclesiastical blunder, explaining that artists charting that path have deviated from the original objective of their calling.

“Gospel musicians are called by God to touch and transform lives through music.

Some are serious, others too are money conscious. They have been consumed by the love of money”.

Speaking in an interview with www.dailywatchgh.com on the sidelines of Worship event organized by the church on Sunday, 28th July, 2024, he named the cause of the above inaction as the failure on the part of the clergy to take good and adequate care of the welfare of Gospel artists.

Spilling the bean, he stated that most gospel singers are not well catered for by some church leaders after inviting them to perform or Minister in their churches.

Putting into consideration the cost of their custome, cost of transportation to the event center, production cost of their music and accomodations, he admonished that Church leaders must do their best to ensure that Gospel musicians are given what they deserve for the service rendered.

“Every labourer is Worthy of his wage”.

“Church leaders before inviting someone to perform must ensure that they are well prepared financially to carter for their services”.
