A/R: I’ve never involved myself in galamsey; Bosome Freho MP and DCE plotted against me – Yaw Danso speaks about his removal
Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho of the Ashanti Region, Yaw Danso has cleared finally broken his silence on his dismissal from office.
Yaw Danso, was sacked in 2023 by President Akufo-Addo following investigations into the allegations against him that he was engaging in illegal mining (Galamsey). Prior to his dismissal, he was suspended in October 2022 for allegedly engaging in galamsey.
An audio recording in circulation further proved clear evidence that Yaw Danso was into galamsey.
However, Yaw Danso in recent interview with the press has indicated that, he never involved himself in galamsey. The Member of Parliament for Bosome Freho, Akwasi Darko Boateng, the DCE, Adu Amoateng and NPP Chairman Mr Patrick Kwaku Frimpong plotted against him hence his dismissal.
“I’ve never involved myself in illegal mining…..The current Bosome Freho DCE Adu Amoateng, MP, Darko Boateng and NPP Chairman, Patrick Kwaku Frimpong staged my removal because I said on Ash FM that, they were involved in galamsey activities…
They wanted to do galamsey but I stood up against them and hence they hated me, lied about me and did a tape which caused my removal.” Yaw Danso disclosed.
He revealed to the press that, current Bosome Freho administration in the persons of MP, DCE and NPP Chairman are deeply involved galamsey activities across Bosome Freho.
“The Bosome Freho MP and DCE have opened community mining at Danso . They have fenced the mining site and soldiers are guiding it with guns.
I want to say on authority that, they are doing galamsey and not community mining because a lot of cocoa farms and water bodies (Dan River) have been destroyed through their activities.
They are embarking on illegal mining in the Danso forest, Minti forest, Anyaso, Asiwa, Nsutam, Nweniso and almost all the communities in the Bosome Freho District.” Yaw Danso alleged.
He further stated; “I’m throwing a challenge to MP Akwasi Darko Boateng, the DCE Adu Amoateng and NPP Chairman Kwaku Frimpong to publicly come out and rubbish my claims.”
He dared the people in the Bosome Freho Disctrict to come out with evidence if they ever saw him involving in galamsey.
“I’m challenging all the people in Bosome Freho, that if anyone has evidence of a concession I did gamasey, he or she should prove it.”
