Akyeremade D/A JHS Makes A Historic trip to broaden students knowledge

Akyeremade D/A JHS, led by Headteacher Mr. Samuel Asante, is taking innovative steps to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

The school embarked on an educational trip to the Greater Accra region, visiting iconic landmarks like Parliament House and Black Star Square. This trip aims to make learning more engaging and interactive for both teachers and students by providing hands-on knowledge of Ghana’s history, culture, and governance.

Located in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Akyeremade D/A JHS is part of a district situated in the central portion of the Ashanti Region. The district covers an area of 251.9 sq. km and has a population of 90,634.

Mr. Samuel Asante, the headmaster of Akyeremade D/A JHS, expressed his gratitude to Honourable Kofi Amankwaa-manu, the member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma constituency, and the entire house for organizing an educational trip to Parliament House and other notable landmarks in Greater Accra region. This trip aimed to provide students with hands-on knowledge of Ghana’s history, culture, and governance, making learning more engaging and interactive.

Mr. Asante also praised Honourable Kofi Amankwaa-manu for his consistent support for education, particularly for providing the school with an ultra-modern toilet facility, which has been a long-standing challenge for the school. He encouraged Honourable Amankwaa-manu to continue his commitment to advancing education in the Atwima Kwanwoma district.

The purpose of this, tour to Parliament House, Black Star Square, and other tourist centers in Greater Accra region was to enhance teaching and learning experiences, Provide hands-on knowledge of Ghana’s history, culture, and governance, Make learning more engaging and interactive for both teachers and students.
It was to provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences, exposing them to Ghana’s history, culture, and governance. By exploring these significant sites, students can gain a deeper understanding of the country’s heritage.

Also the trip aimed to Broaden students’ knowledge and understanding of the country’s institutions and landmarks,Foster patriotism and civic awareness among students.

Overall, the tour aimed to provide a unique learning experience that complements classroom instruction.
It was a great opportunity to see schools like Akyeremade D/A JHS taking proactive steps to make learning more engaging and effective. The initiatives had a positive impact on students’ academic performance,patriotism and overall development.

In his response,Hon. Kofi Amankwaa-Manu, MP for Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency, has reaffirmed his dedication to developing the constituency, with a special focus on education. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between himself and the constituents to achieve this goal. For him, driving Atwima Kwanwoma to a “perfect destination” is a top priority.

As a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Amankwaa-Manu has been actively working towards improving the lives of his constituents. His commitment to education is particularly noteworthy, as he aims to enhance the education system in the constituency to promote development.
