National House Of Chiefs President Donates Furniture To Bibiani SHTS:
The President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi ll has donated 110 mono desks to Bibiani Senior High Technical School.
The cost of the furniture is estimated at thirty thousand cedis (Ghs 30,000.00). According to the overload of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, not long ago, he was notified about the urgent need for furniture in the school as a result of the exponential increase in enrollment. He then provided the furniture as a measure to ameliorate the problem and promised to add more in due course.
Among others, the President of the National House of Chiefs is commended for his support of education for the Ghanaian youth. This stems from the establishment of Queens Girls SHS, the only Girls’ School in the Western North Region, and the improvement of educational infrastructure like the facilitation of the construction of GNPC Laboratory for Bibiani SHTS, Dormitories for Sefwi Wiawso SHTS, and Queens Girls SHS. The Traditional Rulers is on record for awarding scholarships to Best WASSCE students in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai from 2020 to date. Again, computers and other educational materials have also been donated by Nana Ogyeahoho to the UMaT Satellite campus at Bibiani.
Mr. George Baidooh, the Headmaster of Bibiani SHTS, together with his team, expressed appreciation to Nana Ogyeahoho for the wonderful gesture and the timely intervention. “On behalf of the Board of Governors, Staff, Parents and Students, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nana Ogyeahoho for his generosity to the school. This contribution will greatly enhance the learning environment and support the academic success of our students. Thank you for your kindness and commitment to education.” The headmaster emphasized.
He further continued that on his assumption of office in 2023, the enrollment of the school stood at 2100. By dint of hard work, prudence, and dedication, the population soared to 2800. This increase in enrollment called for additional furniture. Since then, the school management has provided 410 mono desks at a considerable cost to augment the existing stock of furniture in the school and also facilitate teaching and learning.
The headmaster also pledged to guarantee the furniture’s security and appropriate use.
