NGO CONSTRUCTS A MECHANISED BOREHOLE FOR BISEC

A United States-based non-governmental organisation, Atlantic Essential Development Incorporated has built a mechanised borehole for Bibiani Senior High Technical School.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, who doubles as a member of the Latter Day Saints Church, Mr. Stephen Aboagye, the project was planned during an interaction with the school authorities at a camp meeting on the school’s premises. He further continued that the school management discussed the issue with him and he also took the matter up. Mr. Aboagye later consulted the Board of Directors of the organization who accepted wholeheartedly to execute the project. He added that Queens Senior High School, the only female second-cycle school in the Western North Region is also benefiting from a similar facility. An assurance was given that notices had been served to Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, President of the National House of Chiefs and the Municipal Assembly before rolling out the project.

Mr George Baidooh, the school’s Headmaster, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organization for coming to the aid of the school at this crucial moment. He indicated that the facility will supply water to the masters bungalows and the dormitories.

The Municipal Assembly, Past Students, Parents Association, and PW Mining Company were also commended for making a frantic effort to improve the supply of water in the school. A promise was also made to take care of the facility to prolong its lifespan and ensure proper utilization.

Other members of the organization who supervised the project were: Kairen Aboagye Moosman, Board Member and Mr Samuel Ewusie, District President.
