Abroso Answers the Call-Thousands Benefit from New Drinking Water Project Worth Thousands

The dusty roads of Assin Nyabriem were filled with smiles and gratitude this week as Hon. Dr. Alex Yaw Baako-widely known as Abroso-delivered a lasting solution to the community’s most pressing need: clean drinking water.

Dr. Baako, a well-known philanthropist, Assembly Member for the Prestea Himan Electoral Area in Ghana’s Western Region, and CEO of Nabroso Group of Companies, responded swiftly to a formal request from the people of Assin Nyabriem. His donation of a portable drinking water system, valued at thousands of Ghana cedis, is expected to put an end to the community’s long struggle to access safe water.

At the official handover ceremony, the atmosphere was charged with joy and relief. Dr. Baako assured residents of his continued commitment to spearheading development projects that uplift lives, while calling on the community to cultivate a strong culture of maintenance to ensure the project’s sustainability.

“Water is life-not a luxury,” he emphasized, noting that access to clean water is fundamental to health, education, and economic progress.

Community leaders, including Collins Aboagye (also known as Nana Two), representative of Omanhene Nana Opoku Apemanim, and the Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Thomas Ayensu, expressed deep appreciation. They commended Dr. Baako’s generosity and pledged to manage the facility effectively for the collective benefit of the people.

This project not only quenches the thirst of the community but also stands as a symbol of responsive leadership and the power of collaboration between citizens and their elected representatives.
