MP Osei-Akoto to Celebrate Heroes of Education in Atwima Mponua-Teachers, Staff & BECE Stars to Be Rewarded This Friday
MP’s initiative aims to raise educational standards across Atwima Mponua
In a remarkable display of commitment to education, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Seth Osei-Akoto, will on Friday, October 10, 2025, host a Special Awards Ceremony to celebrate excellence among teachers, non-teaching staff, and top-performing BECE graduates across the district.
The colourful event is scheduled to take place at the forecourt of the Atwima Mponua District Education Office in Nyinahin, and will bring together key education stakeholders, traditional leaders, and community members to honour individuals driving academic success in the area.
“Education remains the foundation of development. By rewarding dedication and achievement, we inspire many more to aim higher,”Hon. Seth Osei-Akoto, MP for Atwima Mponua.
Celebrating Excellence and Hard Work
The awards will recognize exceptional contributions and academic brilliance across three key categories:
Top BECE Graduates (2025): To receive certificates, learning materials, and financial assistance to ease their transition into senior high school.
Outstanding Teachers: To be honoured for their innovation, impact, and dedication in the classroom.
Exceptional Non-Teaching Staff: To be celebrated for their crucial behind-the-scenes roles that keep schools functioning effectively.
Earlier this year, Hon. Osei-Akoto distributed over 2,930 mathematical sets to BECE candidates and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting high-achieving students beyond the junior high level.
Stakeholders Set to Attend
The upcoming event will draw participation from prominent education figures and community leaders, including:
The District Chief Executive (DCE)
The District Director of Education
School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs)
Headteachers, parents, community leaders, and members of the general public.
