MTN Ghana Puts Festive Smiles on ‘Bronya Babies’,70 Newborns at KATH Receive Christmas Hampers

In a heart-warming gesture that lit up maternity wards on Christmas Day, MTN Ghana spread festive cheer by presenting 70 baby hampers to newborns delivered at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)-part of a nationwide initiative that saw 700 hampers gifted to mothers and babies across Ghana this festive season.

The hampers, filled with essential baby items including diapers, detergents, toys and other newborn care products, were handed out to mothers who welcomed their little ones on December 25, a day already blessed with the celebration of Christ’s birth.

Addressing the gathering, Obed Adu-Amankwaah, Area Sales Manager for MTN in the Ashanti, Bono Ahafo and Bono East zones, noted that Christmas is not just about celebration but about sharing love and support with families starting new chapters of life.

Hospital staff and the beneficiary mothers expressed deep gratitude, describing the timing and support as a “unique and unforgettable Christmas blessing.” Several mothers said the hampers eased the financial pressures that often accompany post-natal care.

MTN Ghana’s annual hamper drive has become a much-anticipated yuletide tradition, underscoring the telecom giant’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community wellbeing.
