In a politically significant move aimed at strengthening grassroots support and improving livelihoods, the Member of Parliament for the Kumawu Constituency, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has donated assorted platform effects and essential working tools to drivers and riders operating within the constituency.

The donation forms part of the MP’s continuous engagement with key professional groups whose daily activities sustain local transportation, commerce, and economic growth in Kumawu. Drivers and riders, often described as the lifeline of community mobility, were the direct beneficiaries of the initiative.

    Strategic Support for Transport Operators

Presenting the items, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the welfare of transport operators, describing them as critical partners in community and constituency development.

He noted that drivers and riders do not only provide transportation services but also play a vital role in connecting communities, facilitating trade, and supporting social and economic activities across the constituency.

“Drivers and riders are indispensable to our development agenda. When they thrive, the entire community benefits,” the MP stated, adding that his office remains committed to initiatives that directly impact the lives of ordinary workers.

    Empowering Livelihoods, Enhancing Productivity

According to Hon. Anim, the donation is part of a broader strategy to improve living conditions and enhance productivity among working-class groups, particularly those in the informal sector who face daily operational and economic challenges.

“This support is intended to motivate our drivers and riders to continue their hard work while easing some of the burdens associated with their daily operations,” he said.

The MP stressed that targeted support to such groups is essential for building a resilient local economy and promoting inclusive development.

    *Strong Appreciation from Beneficiaries*

Beneficiaries of the donation expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. Many noted that the intervention demonstrates responsive, people-centred leadership that listens to and acts on the needs of constituents.

They further pledged their continued cooperation and support toward maintaining peace, unity, and sustained development in the Kumawu Constituency.

A Clear Signal of Grassroots Commitment

In conclusion, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim’s donation to drivers and riders underscores his hands-on approach to leadership and his dedication to addressing the practical needs of his constituents. The gesture has not only boosted morale among beneficiaries but also highlighted the importance of community-based support initiatives in advancing development at the grassroots level.
