Fourteen energetic young men and women from the Atwima Mponua District have gained employment with the Forestry Commission of Ghana, thanks to the dedicated efforts and direct facilitation of their local leader.

The newly recruited youth visited his office on Tuesday to officially pick up their appointment letters. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and hope as the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunity.

Speaking after welcoming them, the Atwima Mponua district chief executive, hon Issahak Ibrahim emphasized the need for them to embrace discipline, humility, teamwork, and ambition in their new roles, stressing that these qualities will enable them to excel and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s environmental protection and national development.

He reiterated that his unwavering commitment to reducing unemployment in Atwima Mponua remains a top priority. According to him, creating sustainable jobs for the youth is one of the most effective ways to empower families, strengthen the local economy, and build a more resilient district.

He assured that more initiatives and job-creation interventions are in the pipeline to unlock additional opportunities for skills development and employment within the district.
