    Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly Clinches Top African Award for Transformative Development

    The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has chalked a major continental victory, winning the Excellence in Socio-Economic Development and Service Delivery Award at the 2025 African Public Service Optimum Awards. The ceremony, hosted by The Business Executive Group, came off on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, at the La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

    The prestigious event brought together leading public institutions, reform champions, and governance experts from across Africa to celebrate outstanding performance and innovation in public administration.

    In a fiercely competitive field featuring high-performing institutions from across the continent, the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly distinguished itself,earning widespread acclaim for its impressive development trajectory under the leadership of its District Chief Executive, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah.

    Hon. Agyemang Asamoah’s tenure has repositioned Atwima Kwanwoma as one of Ghana’s fastest-progressing districts. Her administration has delivered notable improvements in:

    Infrastructure expansion

    Revenue mobilisation efficiency

    Sanitation and environmental management

    Education and youth development

    Healthcare support systems
