Enough Is Enough:Youth Give Government 2 Months Ultimatum Over Deadly Kumasi-Accra Highway

The Coalition of Concerned Youth has expressed heartfelt condolences to families who have lost loved ones in accidents along the Kumasi-Accra highway, following a recent tragedy that claimed several lives.

In a press release, the group’s Executive Director, Richard Mensah, lamented the deplorable state of the highway, stressing that poor road conditions remain a major contributor to the frequent accidents. He called on the government to prioritize maintenance of the road to avert further disasters.

The coalition has issued a two-month ultimatum to the authorities to begin repair works. Failure to act within the given timeframe, they warn, will leave them with no option but to block the road as a form of protest.

“The Kumasi-Accra highway has claimed countless lives, leaving many families bereaved and children orphaned. Urgent action is needed to prevent further loss of lives,” the statement read.

For further details, contact Richard Mensah, Executive Director of the Coalition of Concerned Youth, at 0257477677 / 0200262790.
