Government admits 67 mistaken entries in Performance Tracker

The Information Ministry, in a tweet, extended gratitude for the substantial interest shown by citizens in the performance tracker.

“After the successful rollout of the Performance Tracker, government appreciates the significant interest and scrutiny from citizens.

“This level of engagement reflects the public’s dedication to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the information presented.

“Within 48 hours of the launch, we have identified 67 entries that were mistakenly included,” the tweet concluded.

Introduced by the government on Wednesday, April 10, the Performance Tracker aims to enhance transparency and accountability in infrastructure projects nationwide.

During the launch, Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, emphasized its pivotal role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of infrastructure projects across the country.

He highlighted that the tracker addresses longstanding concerns about the accuracy and reliability of project presentations, especially concerning the use of artist’s impressions to depict outcomes.

Moreover, the tracker currently features over 13,000 projects nationwide.

Nkrumah pointed out that the tracker represents an upgraded version of the Delivery Tracker introduced by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in 2020, emphasizing its importance in monitoring the progress of various projects across the nation.
